Anna Jay has confirmed that she is currently out with a shoulder injury.

AEW President Tony Khan noted during the Redemption media call this week that the 28-year-old had re-signed with the promotion but was currently out with an injury. Khan also noted that she underwent an MRI last week.

Anna Jay provided further details regarding her injury on a recent Twitch stream. She said:

“Yes, the Injury thing is true. I don’t really know the extent of it. I’m going to a few doctors right now just to get everything checked out, just to get a few different opinions so I make the right choice. But hopefully it’s not as bad as it possibly can be. It could be okay.

“My injury, it’s to do with my shoulder, which I’ve had some issues in the past with, so that’s why I just want to get a few different opinions and hopefully it’ll be okay.”

“Also, people are like, ‘She’s always injured.’ I’ve had two injuries while at AEW, my shoulder and my ribs being dislocated. That’s it.”

Anna Jay hasn’t wrestled since the June 6, 2026 edition of AEW Collision from Youngstown, Ohio. She teamed with Tay Melo on the show to unsuccessfully challenge Divine Dominion for the AEW Women’s World Tag Team titles.

Khan also noted during the Redemption media call that he plans to grant Melo her release from the promotion, which would bring an end to the TayJay tag team. Melo and Jay first teamed together in AEW on the September 29, 2021 edition of Dynamite.
