ESPN awards first-ever Moment of the Night championship after WWE SummerSlam Saturday
Oba Femi is the first-ever ESPN Moment of the Night champion.
He was awarded the special title belt following the first night of WWE SummerSlam on Saturday, August 1, 2026.
ESPN wrote on social media: “Oba Femi defeated Brock Lesnar inside Hell in a Cell and claimed ESPN’s first-ever Moment of the Night belt.”
ESPN announced the custom title in a press release on July 27. ESPN described the award as recognizing: “The most impactful performance, storyline or match moment from each WWE Premium Live Event.“
Femi defeated Brock Lesnar in a Hell in a Cell match that closed Saturday’s show. The match went 11 minutes and 30 seconds. After it was over, the cage was raised and Lesnar cut a short promo referring to Femi as the future and himself as the past.
