AEW’s Young Bucks abandon ‘The Wayward Sons’ trademark

After filing for a trademark on the term “The Wayward Sons” earlier in November, the Young Bucks’ Killing The Business Inc. abandoned the trademark on Monday.

It’s unknown what the intent for the trademark was or why they decided to drop it.

The initial filing was for specific merchandise and the general use a wrestler would want to have if using a term for a character or moniker (“Entertainment services, namely, wrestling exhibits and performances by a professional wrestler and entertainer,” etc.).

The only possible connection, albeit a bit of a reach, was for the Bucks saying on an April 2021 BTE episode that they wanted to come out to Kansas’ “Carry On Wayward Son” for the House Always Win house show.

After being off TV since September’s All Out, it’s expected the Bucks will return alongside Kenny Omega at Saturday’s Full Gear. It’s unknown if they will be wrestling but a vignette last Wednesday with Full Gear imagery heavily hinted they will appear in some form.
