AEW World title match with major stipulation set for next week’s Dynamite
The third match in the unofficial trilogy between AEW World Champion MJF and former champion Kenny Omega will take place as part of next Wednesday’s Beach Break edition of Dynamite and with a major stipulation.
That stipulation? If Omega fails to defeat MJF, he can never challenge for the title again.
On Wednesday’s show, MJF issued up the offer after successfully defending the title against Mark Briscoe, attacking him afterward which brought Omega out for the save. He then issued a challenge to MJF for later in the show which was quickly declined.
MJF then came up with the stipulation idea for the following week, giving him until the end of the night to accept. Omega took the full length of the show to eventually give his answer of yes. After he did, MJF jumped him from behind and the two had a pull-apart brawl to close the show.

It will be their third-ever encounter with the first taking place on an October 2023 edition of Collision as MJF successfully defended the title in a match with just a few days notice. The two rematched at this past April’s Dynasty with MJF once again getting the win in another title defense.
As was referenced twice on the show, there has been two of these matches in AEW history with MJF involved in both. MJF cornered Cody Rhodes in his notable loss to Chris Jericho and then later defeated Hangman Page who hasn’t been seen since their Texas Death Match at March’s Revolution.
Both the Young Bucks and Will Ospreay, who earned a title shot at August’s All In, tried to talk Omega out of it but he refused. In a backstage segment from Forbidden Door that kicked off Dynamite, Omega questioned Ospreay’s allegiance to the Death Riders and said he was coming for the title if MJF defeated Briscoe.
