MJF vs. Kenny Omega World title match result from AEW Dynamite, All In main event set

AEW Dynamite Beach Break 2026 MJF vs Kenny Omega

For the second time in his career and for the first time since November 2021, Kenny Omega can call himself AEW World Champion.

In the main event of Wednesday’s Beach Break edition of Dynamite, Omega defeated MJF in their third-ever match for the gold, also picking up his first win against the three-time champion.

The stipulation going into the match was that if Omega didn’t beat MJF for the gold, he could never challenge for it ever again. The win puts Omega in line to defend the title against Owen Hart tournament winner Will Ospreay at August’s All In — the graphic of which was shown on the screen afterward.

Ospreay played into the finish as MJF was preparing to hit Omega with the title belt until referee Bryce Remsburg took it away. He then pulled out his Dynamite Diamond ring to hit Omega when Ospreay ran out to prevent it. As Remsburg dealt with that, Omega grabbed the title belt and was about to hit MJF when the champion begged off but hit a low blow and a belt shot.

However, Omega kicked out at one and hulked up, hitting punches, three V-Triggers and a One Winged Angel for the pin and win. That sequence was preceded by a sequence where MJF hit a top rope reverse hurricanrana followed by a Heat Seeker for a very close nearfall that got the crowd.

Omega owns the second-longest AEW title run in company history behind MJF’s first run.

The loss ends the short 45-day third reign for MJF who defeated Darby Allin at May’s Double or Nothing to regain it.
