In a match that was made while the show was going on, the Don Callis Family now owns the AEW Trios titles after defeating Jet Set Rodeo on Wednesday’s AEW Dynamite.

The team of Kazuchika Okada, Kyle Fletcher and Mark Davis defeated Hangman Page, Kevin Knight and Mike Bailey in the main event thanks to inference from MJF.

Page appeared to have Davis beat after a Buckshot lariat, tagging in Knight for a combo finisher. MJF then took out Page on the apron, leaving Knight to take an Okada Rainmaker and a Davis piledriver for the title change. It was Knight’s second match of the evening after he lost to MJF in his show-opening challenge for the AEW World title.

The match came about following Page’s quick squash victory when MJF came out to taunt his Revolution opponent, leading to Davis, Okada and Fletcher attacking him. Bailey and Knight came out to even the odds, followed by Callis coming out to issue a challenge for the titles which he said was agreed to by Tony Khan.

The loss ends the 50-day run with the titles for Jet Set Rodeo which saw just one title defense before Wednesday. Fletcher now is a dual champion as he also holds the TNT title, as is Okada who is the AEW International Champion. It’s the first AEW title for Davis and his first title anywhere since he and Fletcher briefly held the ROH Tag Team titles in 2023 before coincidentally losing them to MJF and partner Adam Cole.
