Toni Storm | AEW

AEW Women’s World Champion Toni Storm was set to take on rival Marina Shafir in a no holds barred match on Wednesday’s Dynamite but was ruled out.

In a clip shared to X ten minutes before the show started, Storm was shown laid out in her locker room in a pool of blood with Mina Shirakawa tending to her and Luther freaking out as Renee Paquette ran up to the scene.

Then it was announced at the onset of the broadcast that Storm wasnot cleared after her match with Shafir at this past Sunday’s Revolution pay-per-view, but the backstage attack wasn’t referenced until much later in the show.

As of this writing, it’s unknown what injury or injuries that Storm is working through and how long she could be out of action.

Shirakawa was announced as taking the match against Shafir Wednesday instead, later defeating her with the Storm Zero piledriver.
