Triple H says Brock Lesnar is one of the best wrestlers of all time & ‘doesn’t get credit for being as good as he is’
Paul Levesque has high praise for Brock Lesnar while also having no idea if he’s done wrestling.
Levesque spoke to media members after Saturday’s first night of WWE SummerSlam when he was asked about whether Lesnar is done after teasing retirement earlier this year. Levesque didn’t seem to have an answer, but reiterated Lesnar’s comments about how he is the past and that Femi is the future.
He then praised Lesnar and his “incredible performance tonight,” adding that Lesnar “doesn’t get credit for being as good as he is.”
“He’s not the prototypical pro wrestler. He’s not looked at like great technically in the business. I would put him up there as one of the best of all time, in-ring wise, psychology-wise, he did it in a completely unique way, in a believable way that was totally Brock Lesnar,” he said.
Levesque continued that he has watched Lesnar since he started and that he is “one of the best psychology-wise, gameday gut guys I have ever seen. He’s an incredible, incredible, incredible performer. When he wants to do what did over the last few months like he did with Oba, that’s a bold statement and a big one.”
After his loss to Femi in Hell in a Cell, Lesnar put Femi over as “the future” while referring to himself as “the past.” He appeared to retire at this year’s WrestleMania after losing to Femi and it was treated as such, but then he returned at Clash In Paris followed by SummerSlam. Femi said he didn’t see the gesture coming.
