WWE AAA Worlds Collide announced for same day & same city as AEW All Out
WWE is continuing to use their promotions to counter AEW, escalating things a bit by now running in the same city.
Revealed and somewhat buried in a release on upcoming Raw and SmackDown fall dates, AAA Worlds Collide was announced for Saturday, September 26, from the Allstate Arena in Chicago, Illinois. The time was not announced as of yet.
The event will run on the same day as AEW All Out from the NOW Arena in Hoffman Estates, Illinois, which begins at 7 pm Eastern.
It’s the latest example of WWE putting either NXT or AAA against AEW pay-per-views and the second AAA is being used for those efforts. This is the first instance in which they are running in the same proximity, however.
Announced in late-June, the August AEW All In show from England’s Wembley Stadium will have both NXT Heatwave and a AAA show as competition which was preceded by NXT’s Great American Bash against AEW x NJPW Forbidden Door in June.
