WWE adds additional measures to promote diversity within company

On the heels of their social media statement Tuesday, WWE continued to take steps toward promoting diversity and inclusion with the company Wednesday.

First reported by PW Insider and confirmed by our Dave Meltzer, an email was sent from WWE chairman Vince McMahon to all company employees reiterating their stance on diversity and how they are continuing to support it with several new measures:

  • An email address for employees to bring up diversity concerns
  • 24/7 mental health counseling

The email also had links to various free diversity training courses employees that were previously available to employees.

Earlier Wednesday, Chief Brand Officer Stephanie McMahon tweeted a Martin Luther King Jr. quote and said, “I love and support my Black friends and colleagues. To everyone who has ever felt the impact and fear of racial injustice, I will use my voice for you.”

As of this writing, WWE has not acknowledged the changes publicly.
