WWE SmackDown video highlights: Kingston-McMahon confrontation

Vince McMahon announced a “WrestleMania opportunity” for Kofi Kingston on last night’s SmackDown.

A segment with The New Day and Vince closed the episode. Kingston said he’s never been one to complain and isn’t going to start now, but he needs to know what he has to do to get a shot at the WWE Championship.

Vince then announced a gauntlet match for next week. If Kingston defeats Randy Orton, Samoa Joe, Cesaro, Sheamus, and Rowan, he’ll challenge for Daniel Bryan’s WWE title at WrestleMania 35.

Joe, Cesaro, Sheamus, and Rowan tried to attack New Day but were fought off.

Also on SmackDown, Charlotte Flair interrupted Becky Lynch as Lynch was reacting to being added to the Raw Women’s Championship match at WrestleMania, Rey Mysterio pinned Joe (the current United States Champion) in a tag match, and Shane McMahon explained his heel turn.
