Mark Davis returning on AEW Collision after visa issues

Mark Davis | AEW

After missing AEW action for nearly a month, Mark Davis will be back in action this Saturday in the United States.

The Australian had been out since-early June due to visa issues, according to Tony Khan on last month’s Forbidden Door media call.

During Wednesday’s Dynamite, “Speedball” Mike Bailey did a backstage promo where he addressed the Don Callis Family, saying they have taken so much from him, he wants to take something from them: Davis’ National title. He was in the ring after Kyle Fletcher’s International title win on Wednesday.

Davis may have another challenge on his hands, this from Andrade. During Dynamite, Don Callis said that Andrade could get a shot if he beats Jake Doyle “next week” but the match date was never announced.

Davis’ last AEW match was a June 3 loss to Will Ospreay in the Owen Hart Foundation tournament semifinals, followed by an National title defense against Ace Austin in ROH, taped on June 10. While he was out of the U.S., he worked twice for RevPro, defending the title against Joe Lando and Man Like DeReiss.

Saturday’s show will be live from Roanoke, Virginia. The unconfirmed title match was the only bout announced for the show.
