Impact Knockouts Champion Deonna Purrazzo booked for Bloodsport

After Josh Alexander and Homicide were announced for this October’s edition of Josh Barnett’s Bloodsport, the show got its first female competitor announced Saturday night as current Impact Wrestling Knockouts Champion Deonna Purrazzo has been added to the show.

After being released from WWE during the April pandemic cuts, Purrazzo appeared on Impact a month later and won the Knockouts title by defeating Jordynne Grace at July’s Slammiversary. Her finisher is a Fujiwara armbar submission, making her ideal for a show where matches can only end in knockout or submission.

The event is scheduled for Sunday, October 11th as part of GCW’s The Collective weekend in Indianapolis, IN, originally slated for WrestleMania weekend in Tampa, Florida.

This will be the third Bloodsport show under the Barnett name after he took it over from Matt Riddle starting in 2019. The shows feature between 7-10 matches in a wrestling ring with no ropes or turnbuckles.
