Chad Gable issues IC title challenge, Jey Uso to deliver Solo Sikoa to Roman Reigns | WWE Raw notes
Chad Gable has his first Intercontinental title challenger in mind: future WWE Hall of Famer Rey Mysterio.
During Monday’s WWE Raw, Gable was backstage with Mysterio and put him over for his efforts as general manager of AAA and the World Heavyweight title shot tournament. He then said it would be an honor to put the title up against “the greatest luchador of all time.”
Mysterio said that while he’s a GM, he has plenty left in the tank and accepted. Gable said he would talk to Adam Pearce, but the date wasn’t announced.
It would be the first defense of the title Gable won by defeating Penta at WWE SummerSlam and the second-ever singles match between the two. The first came on Raw back in October 2022 which Mysterio won. The two have shared the ring frequently through the years.

In the Raw main event, Solo Sikoa failed in his effort to leave The Bloodline behind and will be delivered to Roman Reigns on next week’s Raw.
In an impromptu match made at the start of the night, he and Jey Uso went one-on-one with the aforementioned stipulation. Sikoa had to deal with Jimmy Uso as well as Jey, getting pinned after a top rope splash.
