Hangman Page makes first AEW Dynamite appearance in 140 days
Last week, Tony Khan said Hangman Page’s AEW return was imminent and on Wednesday’s Dynamite, the former AEW World Champion put himself back in the mix.
After a 140-day absence from AEW Dynamite, Page followed up his recent short notice Collision appearance with a surprise appearance Wednesday.
Page appeared in the show’s opening segment, offering his help to Will Ospreay as he goes for the World title at next month’s All In given he went through the same situation last year. Ospreay declined, saying he had a lot to deal with already and can’t trust Page due to his friendship with Kenny Omega.
Page then appeared later in the show, assisting The Conglomeration and Brody King after they were beat up by new AEW Trios Champions The Demand and The Lethal Twist, delivering a Buckshot Lariat to Jay Lethal.
In the aforementioned Collision appearance on July 11, Page said he would honor the stipulation for his Texas Death Match loss to then-champion MJF at March’s Revolution — that he would never challenge for the title again with a loss. However, he said he will focus on the other AEW singles titles.
Page disappeared after the loss, but now appears to be active again.
