  • Dave LaGreca, the main host of Busted Open Radio, promised that the show will not change despite SiriusXM’s pro wrestling channel becoming WWE Radio:
    • Starting Monday, July 27, we will be WWE Radio. Every show is going to be the exact same that you know and love – Busted Open, Notsam Wrestling Live, Off The Ropes, Busted Open After Dark. But now we’re going to have the TV simulcast of Raw, of SmackDown, of NXT. We’re going to have original SiriusXM productions of every major WWE PLE, homegrown right here on SiriusXM. Plus, Stephanie McMahon’s podcast, Cody Rhodes, The Undertaker, Sam & Megan [Morant] – all here.
    • I cannot believe that a show that started for one hour, one day a week is now going to be partnered with the greatest pro wrestling company, the biggest pro wrestling company – not just now but ever in this great sport. And make no mistake about it, if you think I’m letting the foot off the gas, if you think you’re not going to get what you’re used to hearing from Dave LaGreca on a daily basis. You think I’m going to stop ranting? No!
  • Nattie, who will be involved with the WWE Radio channel, tweeted: “I’m so excited to be a part of this! @siriusxmwwe”
  • On Insight with Chris Van Vliet, Dragon Lee discussed his WWE goals:
    • I would like to be Intercontinental champion; that’s my goal. I want to be champion. Something that I would love to do is be tag team champion with Rey Mysterio. I hope we can have an opportunity, because I feel like I have a great connection with Rey, and I think we can do so good as a team. That’s what I think, and you know, another chance at the Royal Rumble and at WrestleMania, that’s the dream. Now I know how that feels, and nobody can tell me how it feels. I feel so great, and I want to have that experience again. It’s great, man.
  • While WWE did not identify Mike Santana by name when he made his NXT arrival this week and has mostly avoided doing so on YouTube and social media, a Facebook post from WWE does refer to him as “Mike Santana.”
  • Tiffany Stratton & WWE partnered with the Minnesota Timberwolves to show off the team’s new jerseys.
  • Seth Rollins guest hosted The Rich Eisen Show today.
  • Trick Williams appeared on 4th And South with former NFL players Jarvis Landry and Leonard Fournette.
  • Ring the Belle interviewed WWE ID wrestler Aaron Rourke.
  • A new trailer for “Coyote vs. Acme,” which stars John Cena, has been released ahead of the movie premiering in theaters on August 28.
  • WWE Vault uploaded never-before-seen footage from a January 1986 house show that included Hulk Hogan vs. King Kong Bundy and The Hart Foundation vs. Killer Bees.
  • WCW’s YouTube channel put together a 40-minute video with footage from the Goldberg vs. Sid Vicious rivalry.
  • WWE ranked Triple H helping Randy Orton cash in on Daniel Bryan (2013) as the seventh-most shocking moment in SummerSlam history.

Other Wrestling

  • House of Glory announced that Eddie Kingston will challenge Charles Mason for the indie promotion’s World Championship on August 7. The show is named High Intensity and is taking place in Queens, New York.
  • Kevin Knight teased that he might end up relinquishing the TNT title at some point if he wins the AEW World Championship at Redemption:
    • If all goes to plan, Jet Two Belts becomes a reality this upcoming Sunday, and I don’t see myself relinquishing it for anybody, that comes my way. I think I will let up and maybe relinquish the TNT title or, you know, let the other people have a little bit of fun. don’t wanna take up all the time at AEW, but AEW is gonna be set up in the next 6 months if The Jet is on top.
  • Mercedes Mone will be performing a DJ set at an All In afterparty from Sweet Chin Disco on August 30. The party is taking place at Crystal Club, Wembley on August 30 following the All In pay-per-view. Lio Rush is also set to appear.
  • NJPW’s English-language website posted an interview with Jake Lee.
  • Dark Side of the Ring shared a brief trailer for next week’s Big Boss Man episode.
